James W. Woody

Email: jwoody at Jimmy is managing partner at Insight Property Group. He received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. After graduating, he moved back to Raleigh and began working for Mid-Atlantic Stihl Inc., an outdoor power equipment distributor, as an Operations Manager for approximately three years. He joined with his brother in 1997 to start Bikers Boulevard, a full-service Harley-Davidson motorcycle business, in Raleigh. His interest in commercial real estate led him to joining Mikels & Jones Properties in April of 2000 after earning his NC Real Estate Brokers license. Jimmy has concentrated on leasing and selling commercial properties in the Triangle area and providing tenant and landlord representation for various companies and owners. He has been involved in over $100 million dollars in real estate transactions. Jimmy and his wife Robin have a daughter, Reese, born in December of 2004. They attend Bayleaf Baptist Church in N. Raleigh. He enjoys spending time with his family at the beach and is a sportsman who enjoys golf, tennis, fishing, snow and water skiing and other various outdoor sports. Jimmy is active in the local Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors association and is currently seeking his CCIM designation.

C. Todd Cammack

He graduated with honors from North Carolina State University in 1997 and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Additionally, he holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law and was actively engaged in practicing law. His primary areas of concentration were in commercial real estate, land use and finance. He has been active in commercial and investment real estate brokerage and development primarily in the Triangle Area. Todd has been involved in all types of real estate transactions that have ranged in size from $155,00.00 to over $24,000,000.00. He is licensed to practice real estate in North Carolina.

Don Cate

Email: dcate at Don J. Cate, Jr. is a partner at Insight Property Group. He attended Sanderson High School and then NC State University in Raleigh, NC. He began his sales career with Curtis 1000 and then advanced to Infologic, Inc., a healthcare software firm specializing in the automation of medical and dental practices. His success earned him a promotion to the position of Sales Manager for the Atlantic region.In 1999 he joined Mikels & Jones Properties as a broker and started his commercial real estate career. Since Don’s arrival at Insight Property Group, his focus has been on tenant representation in the RTP area where he has achieved the Millionaire’s Club status. He has been privileged to serve as landlord representative for a number of local building owners handling all of their marketing, sales and leasing activity. He has successfully relocated the corporate headquarters of regional, national and Fortune 500 employers to Raleigh and surrounding area. Don’s experience in healthcare software provides him with a unique understanding of the needs of medical and dental offices. As a result, he has been engaged by a large number of professional offices to assist them in start up, expansion and relocation efforts.Don is a member of the Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors (TCAR). He has served on the Board of the Rex Classic Foundation for Breast Cancer, has been involved with a number of local fundraising and charity events and has begun focused contributions to the NC Alzheimer’s Association to assist in the detection and advancement of treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

John Hawkins

Following college at both ECU and UNC_CH, John enjoyed nine years as owner of two successful companies in Chapel Hill and Raleigh that he sold in 1984 to begin his real estate career with Fonville Morisey Realty.
John’s honesty, integrity, and genuine respect for others, combined with his natural ability to quickly grasp and explain complex information earned him the trust and respect of his clients, colleagues, and competitors. At Fonville Morisey, John rapidly rose from successful real estate agent, to sales manager (growing his office to #1 in the Triangle), to the newly formed position of C.O.O.
Prior to his retirement after 15 years as C.O.O., John grew Fonville Morisey to over 253,000 square feet of office space, $2 billion in annual sales, over 700 agents, built a mortgage company that consistently ranked in the top 10 lenders in the Triangle, oversaw an award winning national relocation division and a market leading title insurance company. The area’s real estate community showed their respect for John in 2013, inducting him into the elite Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors “Hall of Fame”.

Jami Barnhill Powers

Email: jami at Jami Barnhill Powers joined Insight Property Group in February 2007. Jami is a licensed real estate broker with over five years of commercial real estate experience in the Triangle market.She graduated from Meredith College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a Concentration in Marketing along with a double major in Political Science Concentration in Pre-Law in 2001.Prior to joining Insight Property Group, Jami was the Marketing Director and Sales Associate for Rich Commercial Realty. She also worked as a Real Estate Advisor for Grubb & Ellis/Thomas Linderman Graham. Her primary concentration has been in providing tenant representation for office, retail and industrial clients throughout the Triangle.

She has served as President of the North Raleigh Civitan Club. She has served on many boards including the Young Alumnae Board for Meredith College, the Steering Committee for the North Carolina History Museum and Hilltop Home Board of Directors.
